Welcome to your new role as 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙄 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧. You just hired a digital intern, but before we give them real work, we need to understand how they actually learned to do their job. 🏢

Unlike traditional software, you do not write a strict list of rules for an AI to follow. 🚫

Think about how I teach my two-year-old daughter what a “shoe” is. I do not sit her down with a dictionary and read her the exact manufacturing definition. 📖

Instead, I point to my sneakers and say “shoe.” I point to her tiny boots and say “shoe.” I point to high heels on TV and say “shoe.” 👠

Eventually, her little brain recognizes the pattern. Even if she sees a brand new pair of sandals she has never seen before, she points and yells “shoe!” She figured out the rules on her own. 👧

This is exactly how our digital intern was trained. Powered by enormous amounts of data, the system learns to detect patterns and make predictions without being 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙙 to do so. 📊

In the tech world, this method of learning from examples instead of strict coding is called 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 (𝙈𝙇). 💻

You interact with this every single day. For example, your smartphone’s photo app learns to recognize your face from just a few selfies – and suddenly, it can automatically find pictures of you in a crowd from ten years ago! 📸
